About Us
Prairie Dog Theatre makes plays that bite. We're a scrappy, independent theatre company dedicated to bold new work, savage adaptations, and stories that refuse to be polite.
We believe that theatre should disturb, delight, and occasionally make you deeply uncomfortable in the best possible way. We don't do comfortable. We don't do easy. We do theatre that lives in your chest for days after.
Prairie Dog Theatre is committed to making work that's rooted in the stories of our community — then blowing those stories wide open.

Our Name
Prairie dogs bark to warn the pack. We make theatre that warns, wakes, and sometimes just bites. The name fits.

Our Mission

Our Work
Original plays. Savage adaptations. Work that doesn't apologize.
