Maryth Gilroy

A Vancouver-based individual theatre artist, producer, and director with three decades of experience creating independent theatre, Maryth loves nothing more than helping artists manifest their wildest ideas. She is thrilled to be collaborating with Prairie Dog Theatre to co-direct (with Karen Hamm), Keri Bennett’s new play UNSEX ME HERE. Originally from Winnipeg, Maryth attended the University of Winnipeg, The Banff Centre School of Fine Arts, and holds an Advanced Certificate in Directing from Capilano University. Recent adventures in directing include A Man Walks Into a Bar for Curious Cats Theatre Collective, Calendar Girls for Leather and Lace Theatre and The Tyler Sisters for Leather and Lace Theatre, all with directing partner Karen Hamm. Maryth is a Fringe veteran with dozens of Fringe shows under her belt and beautiful memories of touring with her late husband, Jason T. Broadfoot for Tread the Edge Productions. Maryth Gilroy is one-third of the Artistic Directing Team of Curious Cats Theatre Collective.

Karen Hamm

Originally from Winnipeg, Karen has acted, directed and produced theatre for over 35 years. Her first love was acting and she has worked professionally with Manitoba Theatre for Young People (Winnipeg) for numerous shows. She has also Directed for many noted theatre companies across Canada including Blue Whale Theatre (Montreal), Monster Theatre (Vancouver), Naked Goddess Productions (Vancouver) and Deep Cove Stage Society (Vancouver). Her greatest accomplishments include founding and acting as Artistic Director for Hamm It Up Productions (Winnipeg) for 15 years. As well as producing their full regular season, she also produced touring improvised Murder Mysteries, toured multiple Fringe Festivals, founded the Manitoba Regional Tournament of the Canadian National Improv Games (Ottawa) and produced the first Winnipeg Improv Festival. She is founder and one third of the Artistic Direction team for Curious Cats Theatre Collective (Vancouver) and has directed their first two shows A Man Walks Into A Bar and The Best Restaurant In The World. Ever.

Keri Bennett

Keri Bennett splits her time between Vancouver and Airdrie. Keri is thrilled to be bringing this play to the Edmonton and Vancouver Fringe this year. Fringe experience includes: Watching Seanna McKenna Watch Paint Dry and her first play, Witness, Loretta (Toronto Fringe). Favorite roles include Gail in the Tyler Sisters (Leather and Lace), Annie in Calendar Girls (Leather and Lace), Olivia in Twelfth Night, Emilia in Comedy of Errors and Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing (all Nightwood Theatre Lawyer Show).

Jarod Campbell

Jarod is an actor and writer based in Vancouver. Originally from Winnipeg—he didn’t choose to be born there—he is a graduate of Vancouver Film School and most recently appeared on stage as Officer O’Grady in Nana’s Naughty Knickers. Other credits include Lonny in The Best Restaurant in the World. Ever. (Curious Cats Theatre Collective), Tucker Dell in Five Alarm (Deep Cove Stage Society), Lawrence in Calendar Girls (Leather and Lace Theatre), and Maurice Morano in Free the Whales (Beach Avenue Media). When he's not onstage, Jarod can usually be found in a theatre seat somewhere, travelling to experience art in all its forms, or exploring other corners of stagecraft, including stage management. He also tries to write for the screen whenever he can find a spare moment and convinces himself he'll start that next script tomorrow.

Kennedy Goodkey

For six years - way back in the 90s - Kennedy was a key performer in then Fringe staple The Juanabees. If you are one of those rare unicorns who ever wondered what happened to them... well, now you know. Kennedy continues to perform and write. He looks back at the feature film The Beast of Bottomless Lake as a proud example of both. And forward to the 2027 Vancouver production of his play The Letter Last Resort (also a Curious Cats Collective Collab) as his next opportunity to do both.

Erin Jeffery

Erin is a Lower Mainland based writer and performing artist who most recently was seen making the best cocktails in the world ever as Rhea in The Best Restaurant in the World Ever. Select other acting credits include The Angry Vagina in The Vagina Monologues, Lady Anne in Richard III with Island Repertory, Margaret in Much Ado about Nothing with Island Repertory, Celia in Calendar Girls with Leather and Lace Productions, many roles in Hoarse Raven Theatre's Tony and Tina's Wedding. She's also been known to make people laugh against their will as a stand up comic and emcee. She is a graduate of the BFA Acting program at UBC.

F.J. Mensah

FJ is a passionate Vancouver based actress with training from the Conservatory program with Douglas College, Vancouver Acting School, Railtown Actor's Studio. She has performed a variety of roles, most recently portraying Heather Van Pree in Nana's Naughty Knickers (DCSS). Beyond acting, FJ is also a writer of short stories and screenplays. She has written and performed a one-woman show which she was encouraged to do as a stand-up. Her background in psychology allows FJ has the ability to analyze and embody her characters fully.

Jordon Navratil

Jordon is a Vancouver based artist with decades of diverse experience. He studied theatre at the University of Lethbridge, and has begun wandering the path of Bouffon and Clown after studying Performance and Technique at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France. He will never stop looking for opportunities to train, and is thrilled by the chance to learn and grow with every show he does. Credits include: The God of Carnage, Homeward Bound, An Inspector Calls, A Flea In Her Ear, We Are Three Sisters, The Play That Goes Wrong, and The Best Restaurant In The World Ever.

Brooke Takhar

Brooke Takhar is an actor, writer and professional yapper from Vancouver BC. Jumping into the deep end of theatre as Assistant Stage Manager for the 2 sold out runs of Leather and Lace's Calendar Girls, she is now deeply honoured to be performing in Lady M. As a chronically online gen Xer, this role is an extremely chewy & delicious endeavour. When she is not running her lines in the bathtub, you can find her eating ice cream for dinner or trying to find the socks her daughter borrowed and never returned. Thank you to everyone involved with Lady M for your patience and kindness, and a special thank you to Keri for your incredible script, and trusting me to speak your lines out loud.

Maria is excited to be working with old friends and making new ones. 27 years ago she told an artistic director "if you need a hand call me". Many great shows later Maria is still loving it. To support her theatre habit, Maria is also a social worker (for now).

Andrew Fraser is the photographer and cinematographer behind FraserFocus, a Vancouver based studio specializing in brand, event, and portrait work. What draws him to the craft is the chance to capture a genuine moment: the split second expression or gesture that tells the real story, whether that's on a stage, at a wedding, or in front of a brand's camera. He's proud to have worked on this project and to help bring stories like this one to a wider audience.
